WoW Midnight Patch 12.1.5 Release Date & Everything Coming in the Update

Blizzard has officially confirmed the release date for World of Warcraft: Midnight Patch 12.1.5. The update arrives on October 13, 2026 for North America and October 14 for Europe, alongside the weekly maintenance.

Patch 12.1.5 is shaping up to be a major mid-season update rather than a small content drop. Players will get a new single-boss raid, the massive Labyrinth of Kindo’jan, additional Season 2 character progression, the return of Keystone Myth, a continuation of the Midnight campaign, and a new open-world event called Aqir Invasion.

Here is everything coming with Midnight Patch 12.1.5.

WoW Midnight Patch 12.1.5 Release Date

Patch 12.1.5 launches:

  • NA: October 13, 2026

  • EU: October 14, 2026

The update will become available after the usual weekly maintenance.

Unlike a traditional minor patch, 12.1.5 adds content for several different types of players at once. Raiders will receive a new encounter, Mythic+ players will have a new rating goal to chase, solo players will be able to enter the Labyrinth, and open-world players will get recurring Aqir invasions.

Season 2 Mid-Season Refresh

Character progression will receive another boost around the launch of Patch 12.1.5.

Before the patch goes live, players can begin working with Orin Straylight in Silvermoon City. By completing the related quest chain, players will eventually unlock the option to obtain one additional Nebulous Voidcore per week by exchanging certain resources with Orin.

This gives players another opportunity to improve their Season 2 characters during the second half of the season.

The progression system will then expand further with Ascendant Venomstone.

Ascendant Venomstones

Beginning with the Patch 12.1.5 quest chain, Orin will start researching Ascendant Venomstone. The full system becomes available after the weekly maintenance during the week of October 20.

Ascendant Venomstones can be earned from several endgame activities, including:

  • Heroic raid bosses

  • Mythic raid bosses

  • Mythic+ dungeons at +10 or higher

  • Tier 11 Bountiful Delves

  • Nightmare Prey Hunt Champion gear chests

Once you collect 10 Ascendant Venomstones, they can be used near the Catalyst in Silvermoon City to increase the item level of a fully upgraded Season 2 item.

Eligible items include fully upgraded Hero and Myth gear, as well as maximum-quality Tidal Crafted weapons, trinkets, and (this season) necklaces.

This should give highly geared players another progression target instead of reaching a complete upgrade wall halfway through the season.

The Crest cap will also be removed during the week of October 21, allowing players to continue upgrading gear without the previous seasonal limitation.

The Unbinding of Kith’ix

Following the defeat of Ula’tek, the ancient restraints holding Kith’ix beneath the Venomous Abyss have weakened.

Players will descend into his lair alongside Lady Liadrin and confront the C’Thraxxi general in a focused single-boss raid encounter.

The raid will be available in:

  • Story Mode

  • Normal

  • Heroic

  • Mythic

One especially interesting change is the Mythic raid size.

Instead of requiring the traditional fixed raid size, Mythic Kith’ix will support flexible groups of 15 to 25 players.

That could make the encounter significantly easier to organize for guilds and communities that struggle to maintain an exact Mythic roster.

Labyrinth of Kindo’jan

Patch 12.1.5 also introduces one of Midnight's largest pieces of solo and small-group content: the Labyrinth of Kindo’jan.

The Labyrinth is an enormous ancient Amani burial complex that has remained sealed for centuries. With the area now reopened, treasure hunters and the Vilebranch have entered the ruins while the spirits buried inside fight back against the intruders.

Gameplay-wise, Labyrinths build on the idea behind Delves but on a much larger scale.

Instead of entering a relatively short Delve, players explore a sprawling dungeon-like environment containing multiple rooms and challenges.

The Labyrinth of Kindo’jan features nine chambers and includes its own progression systems, unlockable bonuses, cosmetics, titles, and even opportunities to earn Mythic-level gear.

Players will once again have a companion helping them during the adventure, but this time it will be Valeera Sanguinar.

Another important feature is that you do not necessarily need to clear the entire Labyrinth in one attempt.

Players can complete individual wings and still receive rewards. However, continuing deeper into the Labyrinth opens additional opportunities for loot while also increasing the challenge.

This makes the Labyrinth a much more flexible activity for players who enjoy Delves but want something longer and more difficult.

Keystone Myth Returns in Season 2

Keystone Myth is also returning in Patch 12.1.5.

This system is designed as an additional Mythic+ challenge for the second half of a season, giving experienced players another rating milestone after the normal progression curve begins to slow down.

For Midnight Season 2, players will need to reach 3,600 Mythic+ Rating to earn the: Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 2 achievement.

Blizzard has also confirmed that targeted dungeon tuning changes will accompany the return of Keystone Myth, with adjustments aimed at dungeons that currently stand out as difficulty outliers.

Combined with new gear from Kith’ix, Labyrinth rewards, Ascendant Venomstone, and the removal of the Crest cap, players will have considerably more power available when pushing higher keys.

New Story Campaign — The Promise of Tomorrow

The Midnight storyline will continue with a new campaign called:

The Promise of Tomorrow

Ula’tek's defeat has created a new problem rather than ending the threat.

The campaign will bring players back into the conflict involving Quel’Thalas and Zul’Aman, as the two sides attempt to maintain an uneasy peace while dealing with an even greater enemy.

Players will travel deeper into the Coiled Isle and eventually face the ancient Amani enemy that has now awakened: Kith’ix.

The campaign ties directly into the new single-boss raid and continues the main Midnight storyline.

Aqir Invasions(YEP ANOTER ONE):

Patch 12.1.5 also adds a new recurring outdoor activity called Aqir Invasions.

These zone-wide public events will take place in:

  • Eversong

  • Zul’Aman

An invasion lasts approximately 10 minutes and occurs once every hour. During that window, players will move through several public objectives before eventually reaching a boss encounter.

The goal is to complete as many objectives as possible before the invasion ends.

There are six different scenario types, divided between three combat-focused activities and three non-combat activities. Combat scenarios can additionally receive one of eight different affixes.

Aqir Invasion Affixes:

Possible modifiers include:

Void Protection
An Aqir Voidweaver can appear and shield nearby Aqir enemies.

Aqir Burrower
Burrowing Aqir move through the battlefield and can launch nearby players into the air.

Void Sphere
Moving Void Spheres attempt to trap players caught in their path.

Astalor's Anguish
Anguish Crystals appear during the fight and can damage both players and Aqir.

Swarms!
Regular Aqir enemies are replaced by large groups of smaller creatures.

Aqir Elites
Enemy numbers are reduced, but each Aqir becomes considerably more powerful.

Void Infestation
Certain Aqir become corrupted by the Void and eventually explode, damaging players and spreading the effect to nearby enemies.

Web Weavers
Aqir Webweavers can spawn and attempt to trap players unless their cast is interrupted.

The rotating objectives and affixes should make individual invasions slightly different rather than repeating exactly the same event every hour.

What to Expect From Patch 12.1.5:

Midnight Patch 12.1.5 is primarily focused on expanding the second half of Season 2.

Players who have already finished much of the current content will gain several new progression paths, while more casual and solo players will receive substantial new activities through the Labyrinth and Aqir Invasions.

The main additions include:

  • The Unbinding of Kith’ix single-boss raid

  • Labyrinth of Kindo’jan

  • Ascendant Venomstone

  • Additional Nebulous Voidcores

  • 3,600 Rating Keystone Myth challenge

  • New The Promise of Tomorrow campaign

  • Aqir Invasions

  • Removal of the seasonal Crest cap

With new Mythic-level rewards, additional upgrade systems, a new raid encounter, and major solo content, Patch 12.1.5 should give players plenty to work toward before the later stages of Midnight Season 2.
