Some of the coolest transmog effects in World of Warcraft aren't locked behind raids, reputation grinds, or endless farming. They're just sitting out in the open world — hidden inside chests that most players walk right past without ever knowing they exist. Today, we are going to show you exactly where to find them, how to unlock them, and the one small thing you'll need to bring along.

Location: Valdrakken [Dragonflight]
Chest Coordinates: /way Drustvar 44.22 27.70

Let's start with the Blazing Shadowflame Cinder from Zaralek Caverns — and fair warning, this is the only one on the list that asks for a little investment beyond simply looting a chest at the right coordinates.

To get there, take the portal from your capital city to Valdrakken, and from there, fly down to Zaralek Cavern. The route is quick and painless — just a short flight once you're through the portal.

Now, here's the catch: to actually loot the chest, you'll need an Onyxia Scale Cloak.

Don't worry, there's no farming involved — you can grab one straight off the Auction House for a couple hundred gold. A small price to pay for an effect this good.

And here's a nice bonus while you're in the area: at these coordinates, in that very same cave, you can pick up a gorgeous transmog for one-handed weapons. Two rewards, one trip — you really can't beat that.

Location: Drustvar [Battle for Azeroth]

Chest Coordinates: /way Drustvar 44.22 27.70

Extra actions: Use runes left -> right -> down -> up.

Next up, a dark, ghostly effect that's waiting for us over in Drustvar — and the route depends on your faction.

• Alliance players have it easy: take the teleport to Boralus, hop on your mount, and fly straight over to Drustvar.
  
  

• Horde players, your path is a little longer. Use the teleport to Zuldazar, then speak to the ship captain to sail across to Drustvar. It takes an extra minute, but trust me — it's worth the detour.
  
  

Once you arrive, head to the coordinates shown on screen. There you'll find a chest surrounded by runes.

You'll need to press them in a specific order: left -> right -> down -> up. Get the sequence right, and the toy is yours.

And finally, the last effect takes us into the current expansion — to the Voidstorm zone.

This is the cave you're looking for, right here on screen.

Head inside, and you'll find the chest sitting up on this mountain. No tricks, no puzzles this time — just climb up, loot it, and enjoy one of the most striking effects in the game right now.
